Founded in 1950: Formula One, also called F1 in short, is an international auto racing sport. F1 is the highest level of single-seat, open-wheel and open-cockpit professional motor racing contest. Formula 1 is perhaps the most famous form of motorsport. The traditions, enormous beautiful history and of course the complex cars with aerodynamics. It's not called the pinnacle of motorsports for nothing!

Indycar

Founded in 1994: Featuring racing at a combination of superspeedways, short ovals, road courses and temporary street circuits, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES offers its international lineup of drivers the most diverse challenges in motorsports. The top point scorer is crowned the series champion and receives a $1 million bonus.

World Endurance Championship (WEC)

Founded in 1981 (officially): The WEC is a unique form of motorsport. In it, a group of drivers form a team that races with just one car. In the WEC's six- to eight-hour to twentyfour-hour races, the cars are usually split between three drivers, or sometimes two drivers. Deutsche Tourenwagen-Masters(DTM)

Founded in 1984: The DTM is one of the largest/most important touring car championships in Europe. Together with the WTCC, it is seen as the Formula 1 of touring cars. Since 2000, the abbreviation has stood for Deutsche Tourenwagen-Masters. Before that she stood for Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft. The championship is originally German. Most races are therefore held in Germany, but there are also other international circuits such as Brands Hatch, Red Bull Ring, Moscow, Zandvoort and Assen.

MotoGP

Founded in 1949: The Grand Prix motorcycle racing season is the main motorcycle road racing series organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM).  Four-stroke motorcycles are used in the first three classes, while the MotoE is driven by electric motorcycles. Grand Prix motorcycles are prototype motorcycles.[1] This means that the motorcycles are not for sale and may not be driven on public roads. This distinguishes the Grand Prix road race from various other road racing categories, such as the Superbike, where modified street motorcycles appear at the start.

Rally

No official starting year (although many count the very first race ever Rouen-Paris as a rally race): Rally is a form of motorsport that takes place on public or private roads with modified production or specially built road-legal cars. ... Rallies may be won by pure speed within the stages or alternatively by driving to a predetermined ideal journey time within the stages.
